How to output cable music channels in zone2

I've got a Denon AVR-2807 receiver and am using the surround back outputs to drive speakers in a second zone. This works great if I am using the CD player, or the tuner, but not when I try to output sound from the TV. I've got a Scientific Atlanta DVR box from Comcast that is connected to the AVR-2807 using a HDMI cable. When I turn on one of the music channels on the cable box it plays great through the main speakers, but if I set zone2 to be the TV I get nothing.

There is a note in the Owner's Guide that states "Digital signals are not output through the zone2 audio output terminals" so I'm assuming this is why I'm not getting any output...because I'm using HDMI from the cable box to the receiver? Or, am I just missing something in the setup featuers that would allow the audio to play in zone2.

If it is because I'm using HDMI, would running a set of component video cables from the cable box output to an open set of inputs on the AVR-2807 then allow audio to be output in zone2 when I select that function? I would basically have two "TV" functions, one that is pure HDMI and the other using component video.

Thank you for any assistance or advice.

you have to use the analog audio out for zone 2 you cant pass digital, the box should pass both outputs. You dont need a second video connection
