Hey guys, a tech & hardware review site that i belong to just did a guide on how to make a High Quality Audio Interconnect for your PC & i thought some of you here may be interested in it

just in case people will copy this step by step ... I would suggest using MALE RCA ends instead of those FEMALES, since most of the receivers have female RCA's anyway.

Well, they do look different from the RCA connectors here in the states

these just have a longer metal jacket, thats what it looks like to me anyway

where I am, the MALES have the long thingies rather than the FEMALES

Just to clarify, the phono (RCA) connectors used in the guide for this interconnect are Neutrik Pro-fi connectors.

The reason the ground protudes is to make a ground connection before the signal, to avoid interference during connection/disconnection. The grounding piece is spring loaded and pushes back into the connector body on insertion

So basically, it's an advanced phono connector, still a standard length centre pin, but with an enhanced ground terminal.
