How to hook up old equilizer to new surround receiver?

Hello fellow audioholics,
All new surround receivers all seem to lack the "tape loop" or "tape monitor" feature of years ago, but is there any other way of hooking up my old equilizer to a new surround receiver? I just want to use the EQ for my front mains, but I can't figure out how to do it without either buying a new eq with multiple inputs and outputs for all the components, or just having the EQ put in the signal path between the source and the receiver in which case, I'd only have one input EQ'd.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you want to get the EQ applied to any of your sources, then I'm afraid you'll have to purchase a separate amplifier. Then go receiver pre-out -> EQ -> amplifier.

I really miss the feature of having preamp outs and amp inputs on the back panel of receivers. Seems like the only company that still does that is the Marantz flagship receiver; no low end ones anymore.
