Hi,
I currently have a NAD 3020i powering Tannoy Mercury M3's. But there is not enough low end in this configuration. So how do I hook up a subwoofer do I take it from the pre amp and hook it up to its own amp? Or is there a more proper way? The amp has a pre-out but it is bridged in to the amplifier to run the loudspeakers. The amp has no sub-out.

A few subs have speaker level connections. If you have them, that's an easy way to go, just connect the sub via speaker leads to the power amp B terminals.

If your sub doesn't have speaker-level inputs, you need to add a Y-connector (one male RCA to two female RCA's) to the NAD pre-outs. Connect interconnects from the Y to the NAD power amp input and the line-level input on the sub.
