I imagine not too many ppl living in apt or renting have installed sheet rock on their walls. Maybe you have dreamt of it though? Is there anyone who has managed to listen top movie high voulmes with good acoustics while not disturbing near by neighbors? I will admit I am "relatively" lucky. I live in an older apt building with THICK walls. But I would be crazy to think I can BLAST music or movies as loud as I would like to at night (usual listening hours). Let's say I was willing to invest 2000 USD to sound proof a 3000 dollar sound system. Do you think I would gain that much more from my system? In other words is it worth it?
