Electronics can generate any frequency your speakers can produce, but the organ has to do it with a big brass pipe and moving air. I think the largest organs have a 16 hz note in a 32 foot pipe, which is below hearing. While you can't hear it, you can feel it like an earthquake and your chest resonates.

Sep 12, 2010 #3 electronics? thats a bass guitar, while it may be an electric bass, the overall sound is generated by the strings. i haven't been overly impressed with pipe organs as far as lows go, sure sometime they sound cool, but nothing shocking, maybe you should turn me on to some that is really low.

Click to expand... I listened to that on my headphones (ATH M50) and wonder how much I missed. I could just hear some things going on underneath the main notes. A properly installed/working pipe organ under full boil is almost intimidating to listen too.
