:) Please advice me. :)

I live in Asia Zone and there is completed set of Extron Component
Video Cable for sale. It costs 150 dollars for Hi-Res Home Theater
Series.

How is its quality and characteristic?

 My friend says 50 dollars of Canare Cable with canare Plug is
better than Extron Cable.

He says Extron's tonal color is dark (and characteristic is red),
and Canare Cable is very transparent. He had used Extron Cable
long time ago, he retired it off and use Canare Cable now.

1. Have completed set of Hi-Res Extron Component Video Cable
ever been sold in America?
2. Can anyone tell me information about it?

:) Thank you very much. :)

  *** Sorry for my poor english.

Video cables are very different than audio cables. Your research should be much more objective, where as audio cables is a very subjective thing. A good component cable should have pure 75ohm connectors, and and it should be able to maintain 75ohms +\- 2ohms or better across the entire cable. Unlike audio cables, a large conductor isnt really necessary, as data on component cables moves very fast and tends to stay at the outer edge of the conductor anyway. A silver coated conductor is definitely a plus, as are both foil and silver\copper shields. If a component cable has all of that, its pretty much gauranteed to look good.

:) Thank you, DAVEOCP.

Extron Cable has claimed that the cable is true 75 ohm,
and the cable in Hi-Res Home Theater Series is also
terminated with 75 ohm Canare RCA Plug.

I have searched for completed set of Hi-Res Extron
Component Video Cable but there is none series in
Extron's Catalogue.

I used to compare the picture between Hi-Res Extron Component
Video Cable and Monster Composite Video Cable(only 20$), but
the result is Extron is a little better than Monster.

So, I wonder the quality of the Cables that have been imported
for sale and cost rather high price. There are completed set of Hi-Res
Extron Component Video Cable and Monster Composite Video
Cable for sale nowadays.

How do you think?

and I want to ask you or anyone who knows one more question

  Have completed set of Hi-Res Extron Component Video Cable

I dont think Extron sells in the US.. at least I've never seen them. My video cables are Tributaries SCV silver series S-video and component cables. I'm not really a fan of Monster, most of their stuff is hardware store quality cable with a thick jacket to make it look expensive.

You should listen to your friend. Canare or Belden cable with the Canare RCA terminations are about as good as you can get regardless of price. Use Bluejeanscable as a guide if you cannot order from them in Asia.

*LOL*

Sorry, I'm one of those people who gets all twitchy when he sees people mixing up to/too, there/their/they're, its/it's, your/you're etc.

Of course, I make tons of mistakes (CD's instead of CDs) but in a pedants book, his own errors don't count ;)

Glad to have people like you around Sploo. The your/you're thing grinds me to no end, as do the other common grammatical mistakes. Keep holding strong!
