Develop ear = ability to tell differnce between notes, chords, ability to not confuse volume for pitch, etc.

Cool, cool, happy hunting for the sub then. Looked around on amazon.de and it is a tough market. Might just have to make do with the Yamaha. What is the best price you are seeing for that on? Any chance you can make your own?

The location you marked with green will work fine for the sub.

The price of the yamaha is $530

Making my own is not totally impossible, I can probably buy most of the stuff needed, but I would require a detailed guide on how to do it, if such exists. Making it myself would be really great though, as I could make it match the other speakers.

is it worth the money paying twice the money for cables from this company?
Supra Cables (site is English)
Even though it's twice the price, cables are still pretty cheap, I calculated a total of $105 for speakers, sub, and hdmi cables. I can easily make it less than half of that if I buy the cheapest brands.

For the sub, I was not able to find anything on amazon.de that was worth the cost in the Euro 200-500 range. Rather than buy mediocere, I would recommend continuing the search locally and online.

The Supra cables seem decent. Aim for Euro 5-7 for HDMI each cable. Make sure there is spare length to make cable management easier. Buy a spool of bulk speaker wire and terminate them yourself. This will be most cost effective.

I'm going to recommend that you try to find a EU/DE specific AV forum. I'm sure there are better options than the Yamaha or Klipsch and Supra cables and it would be unlikely that someone on the American side will be able to help. For example, few in EU will know Emotiva or HSU or Axiom and these are very common brands on this side.

You are welcome, that is what this forum is for.

We can still help you with any questions related to setup and other things, just not when it comes to giving advice on what to buy or things too specific to EU :).
