How do we delete old posts or threads?

Probably just a user error (me), but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to delete old posts or threads I started. Anybody know how to go about that?

I believe only a MOD can delete after, say a week or two has passed.

I think it's based more on how old it is, after a certain time think it would have to be done by a mod....but why do you want to delete any?
