I just got my Sony UBP-X800. How do I change my settings for dolby atmos to work? Says set [BD audio mix setting] in [audio settings] to [off]. And then do I do [Digital audio output] to [Auto]? Will that get me dolby atmos playback? It says this is how you enjoy bitstream as well in the manual.

I'm narrowing in on a Blu-Ray Player for Atmos and one I'm considering is a Sony UBP-X800. It would be great to hear how you like yours after a couple of Movies.

So far its great! No complaints. Better picture and sound than my old cheap blu ray!

No one read anymore nowadays.
I checked audio settings in the manual of my UBP-X800.
To enjoy Bitstream (Dolby/DTS) signals, set [BD Audio MIX Setting] to [Off] and [Digital Audio Output] to [Auto].
And I can confirm my HT-ST5000 displays Dolby Atmos- TrueHD 7.1 after changing the settings above. Whereas displayed as LPCM 7.1.

I have that Sony 4K player, got it at Target on Clearance for $149, its is a really nice unit. I like the build quality, only downside is no Dolby Vision.
