How come movie theaters arent in hd..

35mm movie film is already HD compared to HDTV, TV and DVD's or anthing else out there.

no. i don't. dlp screens aren't 6 or 8 stories high. imax is a completely different technology, but it's the only one in theaters you and I can go to that has one continuous, un-spliced reel and gentle enough film transport to not beat the hell out of the film.
