WRT my comments about him needing handlers- they might help him to stop concentrating on the wrong things.

Yeah, I know- it's a pipe dream, but.....maybe a good, swift kick in the ass would get his attention.

He hasn't been known to have handlers except those like that shittiest guys like Stephen Miller.....the relationship between those two is as scary a relatiionship that has existed in modern politics since Hitler (and has parallels)

Well it should have been in the bible. It sounds more bibley than half the stuff that is in there. I mean how is it not in there?

And who says Quinten Tarantino's version of the bible is any less valid than say King James' version. He's not my king and he didn't even write the King James. At least Quinten didn't plagiarize anything and he foretold the terrible vengeance. Ezekiel should have written that. Ole Petey is just being open minded about how the bible should be. How it could be. Maybe Jesus Donald could make Pete the next Pope and have a general revision of the old testament. We could call it the improved testament.
"Golden" Testament.... for sure!

When did the King James version become a thing? He was freaking king- Henry VIII created the Anglican church because the RC church wouldn't allow him to divorce, the King James versin appealed to enough people that it was adopted as one of the major editions. Tarantino's verses were from a movie- he's not trying to make money, not change the world.

Quoting fictional bible verses- that's pretty original.......

Do you want the short or long version?

Short.

Queen Elizabeth I died in 1603. She was unmarried and had no children. The closest heir was James VI of Scotland and so he acceded to the throne, and the two kingdoms have been united since.

Now the Scots and the UK had somewhat different versions of the bible and the Scots were a more puritanical lot and there was friction over it.

So James I commissioned a bible to be used in all Anglican churches in England and Scotland. This is the King James version introduced in 1611.

Because he could and H VIII was dead. My ancestors left in 1654 and I can see why.

Some context around your comment please
It was in the comments from your link.

I think what they were saying is initially it the operation was dumb and reality is now were stuck in it.

After work I stepped to my vehicle and a woman said oh it will be over soon. I told her I hope so, but it doesn't feel like it will be. I think in part it was the ease of Venezuela and not considering the Strait that pushed them to this.

Thank you. What I got it out of it is the following,
1) Trump blindly followed Netanyahu into Iran
2) There were many chances for cease fire and deescalation but Trump's arrogance keeps destroying theses chances and continues up,the escalation ladder.
3) The bombardment of Iran by American has unified the Iranian people into one cohesive movement.
4) The US cannot easily rebuild their arms because China holds the heavy metals required to manufacturer them.
Numbers suggest that the US doesnt have enough anti missle missles to hold off the Iranian onslaught that Trump's stupidity is pushing them towards.
5) The reported succesful strikes against Iranians on the strait are Pentagon lies to the US people and the world to try and lower oil prices and an attempt to increase his popularity in the polls.
6) Iran has two powerful allies now, Russia and China.
7) The Israeli soldiers have committed hate crimes in Lebanon against Christians as well as Palestinians. My message to Netanyahu and the Israeli people that think Netanyahu is doing the right thing is this" people who live by the sword will also die by the sword"
8) Netanayhu has not honored the cease fire in Lebanon and continues to wage war.
9) The blockade of Iranian ports has accomplished very little economically against Iran. Iran continues to receive billions from its trade. The blockade is at best a sieve.
10) Trump has things in the works to prevent or rig the primaries elections in the US towards the republican favor. Trump is also working to seize control of the US Presidency indefinately.

Bottom line, Iran holds all the power while the US dynasty and influence begins to crumble through out the world. Internally, the US federal government are putting wheels in motion for USA to turn it from a republic democracy into a dictatorship. Scary sh?t.

Its the republican leadership boldly lieing to the people of the US. This is far from over. Its going to go on until the end of Trump's term and even then, I doubt the war will end. This is another Vietnam war where the US will have their asses handed to them. I feel sorry for your soldiers that dont want to do this and all the American soldiers that will die in such a fuitless and meaningless war.

Rubio said by putting pressure on traders like China, it has shown to work economically against Iran. So we'll see. In the meantime, gas went up at a station locally another 20 cents in a day. I believe this last week they said Americans spent an additional $125 billion on gas.

Pretty quick I'll be driving around almost entirely on the scooter. Car to the grocery store and maybe rainy days but otherwise it will be the scooter.

About all I can say is they better figure out something soon because in a month it will be June and if it's still this bad (or worse) there goes any summer travel. Plus it will cripple anything related to diesel gas. I plan on driving to work and back and the grocery store and that's about it cause I don't know how much worse it will be.... speaking of which I better go fill up the car before the prices get worse lol. Oops, most important travel to the liquor store. Oh no! What if I couldn't do that?!?! :p

Except now that XI Jingping is very pissed off at Trump and basically said F?ck Trump , so no, this isnt working dispite what Rubio claims.

I was thinking about how utterly needless this war is, so I looked into the provisions of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to see what was so deficient as to warrant withdrawal by the US. It seems to me that JCPOA was infinitely better than what has transpired since it ended.

In accordance with the terms of JCPOA, Iran turned over 97% (11,000 kg) of their enriched uranium to Russia and dismantled 2/3 of their centrifuges. The JCPOA mandated that Iran limit enrichment to 3.67% and cease enrichment at the Fordow facility for 15 years (until 2030).

Subsequent to the deal collapsing, Iran has enriched over 10,000 kg of uranium, including 440 kg to 60% and 184 kg to 20%.

How can anyone consider this^, along with the death, destruction and economic chaos sown over the last few months to be an improvement? And, to believe that there might be some short term pain, but long term gain, resulting from this situation would require some delusional thinking. I mean, imperfect as it was, JCPOA provided some runway that could have lead to further rapprochement with Iran and bringing them in from the cold, so to speak.

Netanyahu coerced Trump into following suit as they both always have had a hate on for Iran as they were the only power back then to have stepped up and supported the Palestinians, long before HAMAS became a thing. Not only that, Netanyahu made a deal with HAMAS to try and prevent the Palestinian Authority from establishing a free land for the Palestinians against Israeli settlements. I suspect Netanyahu had his hands with the assassination of the moderate Yitzhak Rabin who wanted peace both for Israel and Palestine and truly believed that both could coexist in peace

Now reports have come out that IDS are desecrating Christian churches, stealing from the Lebanese people. I can provide the link if your interested. It came from Larry Wilkerson, former chief of staff that served under Colonel Powell.

@GO-NAD!

I think you may find this top very interesting

This is a very interesting discussion not from a good guys bad guys point of view but from an appreciate and respect of war and what it’s done to people. All the leaders today or most of them are too young remember WW2 and the atrocities of war in general. As a result, true diplomacy has died and has been replaced with threat. It’s an eye opener from this view point. We're right back into the cold war. Wilkerson is 100% correct on this.

If true that doesn't sound good....

>>>But the CIA estimate says Iran can survive the U.S. blockade for 90 to 120 days — and maybe longer — before facing more severe economic hardship, the four people familiar with it said.<<<
