How close are we to WWIII?

I am pretty sure the prime minister said Brits are not part of this even though Cyprus was hit.
That changed today. US now have access to UK bases for operations again, and Diego Garcia on the Chagos islands is now available to the US military. There was video on BBC news today of a lot of US activity at the air bases. RAF activity out of Cyprus has also increased, although that never stopped.

I heard that or something similar. But you don't bring an armada, 2 carrier battle groups to that location overnight and without a good war plan. Planning takes time, lots of it. Coordination between two battle groups also time-consuming in the war plans.
Someone had started this in Jan 2025.

There had to be joint planning with Irael.
I'm sure there was.... but America's weakness is that the leadership chooses loyalty over ability - and has busily been firing all the military leaders who weren't sufficiently "loyal".

Trump, Hitler, same attitudes - same fundamental strategic flaws. Not identical.... but sufficient similarities.

Hitler repeatedly put his armies into unwinnable situations, against the advice of all his better military officers. - good thing for the rest of the world too.

Trump does the same thing. As a result, he may well win battles, but he is unlikely to win wars.

I like this guy for the Iran war. He's got many ex-military guests on. Johnson said either the CIA got the wrong intelligence on Iran, or they were lied to about it. One intelligence liaison comes from Israel. Ah that doesn't sound so good LOL. He thinks Iran might have 10K ballistic missiles. It seems to me we have a month maybe to bomb and then I dunno get the hell out. Boots on the ground and/or a long term war....one person interviewed said he thinks we would eventually prevail but will Iran have brought in these other countries first....

I think it's most likely this will be a months long war at most and then pull out and Trump will claim victory with how much Iranian infrastructure that has been destroyed. For Iran survival is a win and to see how much external damage they can achieve. Again it sounds cliche but ah you can't change these people. As the saying goes it's a 1000 year war. Some of these radical countries it's religious and death is their end goal. For us well our sons coming home in body bags is not something we're gonna tolerate. Please at any time comment and disagree. I'd like to hear a different take.

The US had boots in Afghanistan, left and the Taliban took over again.
Thats what Im saying will happen to Iran if boots arent put to the ground. When that happens the war is lost and I hope the two aholes Trump and Netanyahu realize this. You can rest assured that ISIS or Taliban are watching this quietly and waiting for the right moment to go in.

Seriously, I have no life.
Where did I say that Muslims were innocent?? Where??? Show me!!!

Don't go down this path with me because you will lose. There were crimes of religion committed right in your back yard
Go nuts with your explanation if you want- I would like to see what you have to say.

If I lose, what do you win? NOBODY who has committed crimes against humanity can be absolved of guilt- are you actually defending Islam or just putting them both in the same bucket of filth?

Far more crimes against humanity has been committed by Christians than by Muslims. The problem with religion is selling one's interpretation to the masses for personal gain be it wealth or power.
At least the various flavors of christiandom do not recommend killing their unbeliever "neighbors" or say that followers should lie to unbelievers: this item alone means that no treaty or agreement, across religions with an Islamic is safe.

I agree that personal enrichment, via religion, is a problem, but suggest that the pursuit of power is more of an issue across both religions.

Enjoy!

The Christian religion may not state specifically killing non believers but they did anyway. You had Christians killing non believers and believers, catholicss against prostestants, reform schools for the native Americans, etc etc etc. The list goes on and on. My outlook is this, dont criticize the state of my own backyard until yours is immaculate...or more Christian like ... let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

I will lay that squarely at the feet of Joe Biden.

Biden didn't put us in Afghanistan, tho. That was Bush's idea along with his ill-advised war on Iraq.

While that is true, it was the ol senile one who fukked up the withdrawal.

remind us again who was Commander-n-Chief at the time ..........;)
Yes, it's his responsibility but am sure the blame goes further than just him. Funny how drumphy isn't treated the same way for his senility, tho.

It was surely a group effort. Still, the boss is the one who owns it. And you can’t deny that he fukked it up.
Womp womp…
Trumps senility is an irrelevant straw man to how Afghanistan was handled. Trump might be deranged, but senile, I think not.

It has been reported the Kurds will be providing some ground force in the next couple days. I assume this is in part an attempt to avoid US ground troops.

Deranged and senile are interchangeable.
