Not only a great movie, the soundtrack is unreal! Skip to the Echo Game chapter, crank it up and watch the cat run for it's life! Subtleties such as baldes of grass in the wind are expertly captured. Best soundtrack since Saving Private Ryan IMHO. Although the first chapter of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World is one of my favs. My $0.02.

Sound: Amazing
Picture: Pretty good
Movie: Eh, not enough action for an action movie. Production too "weird" for a straight drama (summer to blizzard in 30 seconds??), Main characters have as much chemistry together as meatballs & fishsticks. And one big story-hole:

In all: An awesome production of a mediocre movie. Hero was much better, even if it is communist propaganda.

I'm right on Ninja's bandwagon, he's said everything exactly the way I was it. You'd be better off listening to the movie than watching it, although it is ok I guess. This is THE best sounding movies as it relates to surround sound that I've heard to date. The scene where the soldiers come out of the trees is the single most enveloping minute or so I've yet come across.

What are the sound track choices on the disc? Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES?

The disc does have DTS and Dolby Digital both, however I only use a 5.1 setup so I'm not sure abour the ES or EX settings.

You know what that movie needed - more dramatic pauses. Nothing like staring at someone that is staring at someone while the wind whips thier hair around thier face.
