My Panasonic A-320 unit is going on the frits & I have seen the websites for both Underwood Hi-Fi & Reference Audio Mods & I'm wondering If anyone has any experience w/ these companies.

I don't have experience with them, but I've worked with Red Wine Audio and Modwright extensively. Modding is a great way to increase performance at reasonable cost.
Both of the outfits you name have been in business for quite a while and are well-respected.

If my memory serves me correctly, there have been previous posts here about "Reference Audio Mods" and again, if I remember correctly, they are total snake oil...remember the $485 wooden knobs among their other "goodies"...

Nearly all such 'mods' for dvd/cd players are unsubstantiated bulls_it so far as audible improvement(s).brushro said:

Oh yeah, Ref. Audio mods...magic pebbles and wooden knobs! That's a site to stay away from. As far as other mods go, most of them involves changing out caps and resistors with "audiophile" components and sometimes adding a tubed output stage. I personally don't think these things are worth the price they charge, but that's my opinion.
