Horizontal vs Vertical alignment

Although I have no recollection of it, I'll speculate that at some point in my life, I actually felt cool. Now is not that time.

A vertical alignment has good dispersion in the vertical plane, so good coverage and optimal frequency response on and off axis in the listening area. In a horizontal alignment, the dispersion is in the horizontal plane, with poor coverage and a lumpy response in the listening area. Also a horizontal alignment maximises unwanted floor and ceiling reflections.

Not wanting to deal with issues of one or the other, or a mixture of both is one reason I decided to go with KEF and their Uni-Q approach.

I know, they make my head spinn. My space is so limited now. When I play the blue room scene from heros, I feel like my head just got chopped off. The only good thing is I am running these with only 200 watts where the rest get 350 watts.

It's a rental apartment. May I go back to 5.1. It fells like you're in pressure chamber when cranked up. Besides it's 14' from front to back wall.
