First is info:
-A set of 10" AR Model 30B Speakers.
-A set of 15" Realistic Mach One Liquid Cooled speakers.
-Yamaha "Natural Sound" Stereo Amplifier model A-1020.
-A really nice computer.

So I have two questions I need answered:

1.
What would I need to hook up my amp to my computer?
I think I need a cable that goes from 2xPhono amp jacks -- 1xAudio jack for the computer. I would need about 8-10ft of it.
I can't seem to locate one of those anywhere.

2.
Would it hurt my computer if I put the speakers right next to my computer?

If the speakers are unshielded you may have issues with data corruption depending on how close you are putting them to the computer itself (not the monitor).

I have my unshielded sub about 1.5 feet from my computers, with no problems, so unless you put them right next to or on top of it you shouldn't have any problems.
