Hooking up my mp3 player to my stereo

I own the cowan x5 and would like to hook it up to my very old stereo. The stero has one set of RCA inputs in the back that is currently connected to my VCR, (for playstation, tv, and dvd). The cable for the mp3 player is also RCA. Is there some kind of splitter or cable that would let me plug both my vcr and my mp3 player to one set of RCA inputs? Currently I have to unplug the vcr cables and plug in the ones for my mp3 player every time I want to use it.

Thanks in Advance!!

Thanks for the help but I still don't get it. How would I hook them up?

This two way switch, plus any old stereo RCA interconnect will set you up. They also make a four way switch for $5.00 more.
That is exactly what I'm looking for.

Look like I would just need one more set of audio cables to use as the output right?

Exactamundo! If you can afford it, go the extra $5.00 and get the one with four inuts. ...allow a little for growth, ya know...

The item that I showed you would be hooked up by attaching one end of a set of red/white rca cables to the stereo and the single side of the splitters to the other end.

However, I do not know what would happen if both the mp3 player and vcr were on at the same time. I think you would be better off with the switch suggested above since it is inexpensive.
