Hometheater in a box? which one to order?

i'm a newbie and doesn't have any idea on how to setup and which hometheater system is good. I am wondering among these two following which one is the best. If not are there any other HT system that comes in a box with in a range of 400 to $700.

HTIB is not usually a good option.

I'd suggest a component system. On a budget you can pick up an HK refurb for 200 on ebay.
