Hi all! I have just purchased a set of Klipsch speakers.
Rp 250f
Rp 450c
Rp 240s
R 10sw

Now l’m looking for an AVR with 7.2 channel and Dolby X and Atmos .
I planing on getting rp 140s upfiring atmos add on later so will be running 5.1.2.
I like the Denon x- 3400h avr, would this be a good choice for these speakers? Also getting a Sony A1 65” Oled TV and a oppo 203 4K player.
Really want some in put on different AVR units.
My HT room size is about 4m W and 5.5m D.

Thanks in advance

Can you attach speakers to the ceiling? The Klipsch upfiring speakers work much better than some of the other designs due to their controlled dispersion, but upfiring speakers suck compared to overhead speakers.

You don’t have to cut holes in the ceiling. I have a pair of Klipsch rb 10s mounted to the ceiling using an omnimount. Works very well.

Also, if possible, I’d return the Klipsch sub and get something else, outside of their r 115sw, their current offerings aren’t great for the price. You could get a hsu vtf 1 for that price.

As for an atmos receiver, it really just depends on your budget and what you want out of it. Outside of features, their are only two things that matter with receivers, channel count, and amplifier power. All solid state amps sound identical unless pushed into distortion.

How big is your room and how far away do you sit? At 10’ away, you will have no problem listening at Reference volume with 100w. Generally people listen at about -10dB from Reference, which would still only require a measly 13wpc.

Considering you’re using Klipsch speakers, unless your room is enormous, you won’t need that much power.

Its to hard to put atmos speakers in roof , cos its double story house.
So any amp which 105 wpc will be fine.
My room is 4mx5m

The Denon X3400H will easily drive the Klipsch speakers.

I power my RBH SV-831 4-ohm speakers with a Denon x3300. Last night we had a party and some guests wanted to sing karaoke really loud. I didn't measure, but I bet it was 100dB or more at times from 15FT away. The x3300 did great.

The Denon 3400 would do nicely, but can you still do something about the sub? You can do so much better (hopefully you're aware there is no reason to match brands for speakers and subs) and subs aren't Klipsch's specialty as are companies like Hsu, Power Sound Audio, Rythmik, SVS, etc

That’s why I suggested the rb 10. Just attach the mounts to the ceiling on a joist. No ceiling holes required and no speakers beneath the upstairs floor.

What about the speaker wires? How to hide? Or are they wireless?
