I have a 12 inch JVC sub woofer that is blown. My 2 year old nephew was playing with my reciever button and fortunately turned off the speakers before he cranked the volume and blew it. Can I simply replace the sub? I am very handy..I am just lost on whether I can buy a new sub, and if I do, what kind do I need to buy? If you have any suddestions, please help. I am lost without my surround sound.

You can buy just a driver to replace what you currently have, however you would need to make sure the t/s parameters are correct for the enclosure you have, and make sure your amplier won't over power the new sub. part express dot com has a good selection of drivers to choose from, or you could try to order a relacement driver from JVC.
