Wow. Can't think of a better way to warm up a cold room espcially in the morning; just dial in a tune, crank the volume and let that Yamaha magice warm your ears and soul. :D Very impressive. That "thing" must tip the scales at close to 120lbs.

If you're going to post a picture of good stuff, you should clean it. In fact, you should send it to me and let me clean it for you free of charge. It may take me 3-5 years. However, you know I will test it out on ALL my speakers to make sure I didn't harm anything during the cleaning. ;)

Yamaha Pro amps, past and present, have always been of extremely high quality and performance. However, the hugely heavy beasts are now gone in exchange for more efficient amplifier topologies and modern power supply technologies.

I make a point to never buy a power amp that I can't weld with.
The amplifier in the OP weighs about 140 pounds, so you might need two of those monoblocks to keep pace.:D

Instead of "will it blend?" it should now be "will it weld?".

Here- let me weld up a cart so's I can roll 'em around.:)

I wonder what a 5.1 system would sound like with those Perreaux amps and Klipsch Cornwalls or LaScala speakers. Maybe some nice EV 30W woofers, also horn loaded, for the low end? That would be a nice little setup. For a warehouse.

Welcome back brother.!! ;) How were the Himalayas?
Thanks 3db, nice to see you again.
The high mountains were an adrenaline rush of fresh air. :)

Himalayas? Is that a euphemism for hangin' out in a nut house with this guy?

Sorry, Yetti. It needed to be said. :D
No sweat Alex, nice to see you too.

* Himalayas, Yamaha; some high level of verisimilitude here, isn't?
