I CANT BELIEVE IT!!! I moved into the new house this past weekend and finally got the new TV and new stand set up, however my 75ohm cables for my emotiva were too short and just reordered longer ones so the amp is not hooked up. ANYWAY, i set up my SVS in the great room and I cant even tell you how much better it sounds. Before i had it in a basement in a smaller room that had the whole right side open to the sub.

In the old house i had the gain set at 12 oclock, i had to turn it down to only a quarter of the way up. i havent calibrated yet because i havent installed the the rear speakers yet but even at very low volumes this thing is insane. What a difference Dish network made as well as compared to my old comcast analogue set up.

Glad the new house is sub friendly :) Maybe you got lucky and found the magic spot first try. Congrats on the new tv also!

Wow, you had the gain set to the 12 o'clock position in the old house? Must have had some serious wave-cancelling effects going on or something, I can't even get the dial on my SVS past a quarter turn (with the Receiver level set to zero), without it trying to shake the house off its foundation. :D Those things are built for one thing and one thing only... to make you sh&t your pants with delight! :D :p

Same here. I have my Plus/2 set to 1/4 turn.

I heard a 25-31PCi in a really large great room and I was impressed with it. The size, shape and construction of the room affect all of your sound, and bass in particular.
