Holy sub rattle Batman!

So the local Guitar Center didn't have any Gramma's in stock so I ended up buying a Subdude for the Rythmik and a Gramma for the 15" sub from Sweetwater.

The Subdude is the perfect size for my Rythmik sub, the Gramma is not exactly right for my big guy. The casters on the bottom of that one are 20" x 20" apart but I figure since the Gramma is 23" x 15" I can just put it down the middle of my sub and have the sub resting on top of it. That should be fine right? As long as the sub is physically off the floor it doesn't matter if it overhangs the Gramma about 6" on each side?

That sounds like a good plan. The corners are braced and less able to resonate.

That one fastener that would not go any tighter might have been tight enough as opposed to stripped.

I just watched KFP2 and when the 'skadoosh' seen came I turned everything down because of my condo dweller status and then I rewound it to let it play at normal volume after it didn't tear the walls down. I don't think my subs can reproduce the frequencies being used in that scene. It didn't seem crazy at all. There was a low thump and I figured the subs were trying to say something but their LF Kung Fu is weak. I'm sure it doesn't help that the frequencies that they can't reproduce worth beans I EQ'ed out of the signal to give them a chance to do everything else better and I employ the infrasonic filter on my EQ. Lame, huh?

Did tightening the fasteners ease the cradle rock? I can't imagine the decoupling affecting the rattling of the objects in the room but did it make the bass sound better?

Nah, the one hex bolt is definitely stripped because it just keeps spinning without getting any tighter.

I can't say if tightening the bolts helped or not, but putting the sub up on the knee pads certainly did, hence me deciding to buy the Subdude and Gramma.

The "Skadoosh" scene I'm referring to is in KFP 1. I haven't seen the second one so I don't know if the does the same thing again, but the scene I'm talking about is at the end of the first movie when Po gets Tai Lung in the Wushi finger hold.

I don't think they keep them in stock. I had to order mine online.
