You could temporarily jump the fuse block with good old fashioned 12AWG OFC and listen for a difference.

12AWG OFC > Any fuse any day of the week SQ wise since you might be considering the fuse the weakest link.

The problem with fused is there is more than one to replace. My Parasound HCA 1000a has I believe 6 fuses. It would cost MORE than I pair for my amp to go with 'hi-end' fuses.

fuses and cables

Fuses and speaker cables are similar in that they just need to be of appropriate size and fuses do not change sound quality. A speaker cable might be too small, i.e. 22gauge, and its simply the resistance that makes a difference. It am frequently amazed at how the ignorant wealthy can spend so much money on such obvious cons.
