yea im new to the site and to the home theater game and seems the equipment ive come across is really super outdated from what ive read. Cant complain tho i got the stuff for free. i have a VSX-D701S with Cerwin vega AT-100s and a cerwin vega SAT-6W sub and cerwin vega SAT-6S satellites, along with some crappy speakers ipicked up from i dont remember when for my rear output. My question is tho how do i get my sub to thump out the power like its supposed to i had it hooked to the rear but that is obviously the wrong decision so plz help if you could im trying to rearrange my livng room right now and i want to have the best sound i can get from this system, thanks

I am assuming it is a satellite/sub woofer system from the pictures I saw from googling. You would want to run the front left and right channels to the sub woofers left and right input, and then run the front right and left speakers from the subs out jacks.

Yes, usually for that type of setup, there is a crossover in the sub, and the sub gets its power from the main channels. What are the markings on the jacks for the sub? I tried to find the owners manual online, but no luck, and the pictures I found weren't clear enough to read the labels. But in looked like the kind of setup where you run the main speakers though the sub.

What do you have hooked up to the "B" speaker outputs? If you are doing a normal surround sound setup, the main speakers/sub should be hooked up to the front left and right (A) outputs, Center channel to the center channel output, and surround speakers to the the surround outputs... Do you have the owners manual? Pioneer does not have it available online.

that would be correct. I would be careful about running the a and b speakers at the same time. Might be too much for the amp. Hope that helps, and enjoy!

How to hook up SAT-6S satellites to Sat-6W sub

Step1 - Connect speaker wire from the left and right speaker terminals from the amplifier/receiver to the the left and right speaker terminals labelled INPUTS on the Sat-6W sub module.

Step2- Connect speaker wire from the left and right speaker terminals labelled OUTPUTS on the Sat-6W subwoofer module to the left and right speaker terminals on the Sat-6S satellite speakers.

Hope that helps:). Make sure your amp/receiver can handle a 4 ohm load.

Thanks for chiming in, I did a search and noticed that you had these speakers, so I was hoping you would show up :D
