I am currently running the below products Emotiva XSP1 Gen 2, Emotiva SA 250, with my Klipsch RF 28 speakers ... and my room is in a rectangular shape where in these are places on the each corner of the room length. Some how now i don't feel very satisfied with the overall sound quality of the music... though i liked it initially but now i don't. except of a few tracks here and there. my music is generally played through a RCA cable from iTunes of mobile or my hard drive connected with MAC air. i don't really know what is happening but some how i am not getting a kick for the music played. should i upgrade my speakers or should i purchase a DAC through which i am able to send out signals to my Pre Amp. I am in a fix. Also india is not a country where in you can try the products and send them back ... we have to purchase and there is no return in any case other than if there is a manufacturing fault. Pls help ....

Speakers are the only thing that will upgrade the sound. If it sounds bad some of the time its probably the source material. If it sounds bad all the time then it's the speakers.

Have you tried a different placement for them? Try putting them in an equilateral triangle to the main seat.

I have done speakers placements also most of the times it is bad. If you are suggesting speakers what do you think will go with my gear. Pls mind I don’t have a ton of money to spend so pls be wise and advise. While doing so pls advise on why have to suggested the make so as it would make things easier to understand

You just need to listen to as many speakers as you can. Speakers are very subjective and your gear is fine for any speaker. What brands are available to you?

You should get/try a DAC, playing analogue from a mac or phone isnt really good at all. I wouldnt try changing speakers until you have tried at least a seperate inexpensive DAC. You could even try connecting a reciever through the home theater bypass connection with a digital signal to the reciever (so it acts like the dac(and also somewhat the pre) but it would give a better idea of the sound compared to analogue mac)
It would also be helpful if you tried to explain what about the sound you dont like.

Im older then you :) but you connect left and right pre out from a reciever (with pre out, not all have that) to the home theater bypass inputs on the emotiva and choose that input as the source. This bypasses the volume control of the emotiva so you then use the volume control of the reciever(or surround processor). This will just be to test if you have one availible to try instead of buying a dac. The best would be if you could borrow a dac to try from a store or friend.

P.S. Make sure your music is decent quality, highly compressed mp3/apple formats often does not sound good on a system like yours, lightly compressed can be good.
