still working on that grill.. I will just have to keep everyone posted.. we will have to see. take care all :)
I had the same problem with the grill on my 690... took the speakers out of the box, and no troubles with any of the other speakers, but when I went to put the grill on the 690, one of the pins snapped... :(

I called up my dealer, and he said "I'll order you another speaker, use that one, and I'll call you when the new one comes in." smooth and seamless responce from my dealer.

You got your on an open box type deal, and it sounds like the dealer just doesn't want to put forth the effort here... sad...

He told me that since I got it for so little that the grill replacement would cause him to lose money since (he claims) that they made no money on the transaction.. He did say that he is still trying to get one.. The guy that I am working with is not the owner but appears to be fairly high up there (i guess). I am not sure what to do. I will be quite upset if I don't end up with a replacement (NEW) grill for the center channel... :(

the hassle for not getting new in box stuff...

My dealer claimed it as a warrantee issue... didn't cost him a penny, therefore the same would apply with your grill... shouldn't cost the dealer anything except his time... and how much time goes into a phone call... seems he's feeding you a load of crap, like waving your hand around to get rid of a mosquito... Just keep after him, and send an email off to gary at paradigm, as suggested... he might take a bit to get back to you... but he will...

Tell him (Gary) that the dealer said he would replace the grill, and now nothing is getting done about it...

That is BS; he needs to just get you a grill before he loses a costumer. My dealer would never treat me that way and I am a small time costumer compared to the type he is used to dealing with. He called me yesterday and told me of a private sale he is having on July 3rd; 15-50% off of everything. If Texas wasn’t so far from you…

Ask the dealer a pointed question

I was highly conflicted over a choice in paying full retail for an anthem avp 30 and a new d2 in the box he could get for me. After much consternation I chose the d2... Then I asked (after he had the check in hand), which sale he would have made more money on? He said he would have been better off selling the 30, but that he was so floored by the d2's performance he wanted me to have it.

Now I have a new dealer, yep switched over from the guy I have been dealing with since 1991!

Ask "Who is going to give me the customer service that this level of product deserves?" If he sends you to the manufacturer, then look for another dealer.

PS I can't find that "legendary" lengthy post on anthem can someone throw up the link?
