Help with wall mounted soundbar cables

Want to wall mount a soundbar under my wall mounted TV but what to do with the cables? I want to hide the cables behind the wall but my soundbar is only about 2" high and standard size wall plates are too big to hide behind it. I don't want to just drill a hole. Any suggestions? Anyone know a company or website that make smaller wall plates?

As far as I know, all power outlets are made to fit a standard electrical box. I'm pretty sure all audio/video wall plates are too.

I'd hide the wall plate behind the TV and keep the sound bar close to the bottom of TV to hide any wires leading to sound bar.

Right, which explains why I can't find smaller wall plates. Maybe using a brush or flexible wall plate and cutting the top and bottom horizontally will work. Cutting without breaking it will be tough.

I thought of this but I believe atleast a 2" gap is recommended between TV and soundbar.

I think I found something. It's not a wall plate but an in-wall cable access port. Unfortunately I can't post a link but the model# is ACBRSTPW1. I found it on the Home Depot website.
According to the specs the width is 1.752" so I can place it on the wall horizontally.

I'm almost certain that's still based on a standard single gang box or low voltage ring.
model# is ACBRSTPW1 is their 'Adorn' brand insert that fits their wall plates. All based on a standard single gang box.
