Help with Voices through Home Theatre

I have an Onkyo S760 system. I am having problems with hearing some of the voices when actors wisper or talk softly. Everything seems to be working correctly and I have checked the hook up.

Anyone have any suggestions on needs to be adjusted or corrected so these voices can be better heard though the center channel speaker?

Go into the receiver's setup menus, and adjust the level of the center channel. Some dvd players also have a box to check, in their setup menus, to enhance the center channel, so the background music doesn't overpower the dialog.
