Help with Spinnaker e30 (also soundforce presto 5.1)

Hello everyone!

I am an audioholic and I always buy good headsets (mostly Bose).
But I got a new house and I wanted some speakers, and bought the Spinnaker Edifier E30!
I have a question about this speakers, how can I hook it up to my television? I tried with a 3.5 Auxillery cable but it didn't work. I have a philips tv i forgot the model of it, will check it later.

I also have a Trust soundforce presto 5.1 lying around in the basement, do you think I can do something with it? Or connect them together (if that's possible)? Or connect only the subwoofer?

Sorry for the many questions, I am very curious but I really know nothing about this.

The minijack should have worked. Have you tried plugging headphones into the TV?

Alternately are you sure the minijack on the Tv is an output, some TVs include a minijack IN for use with computers.

Alternatively many TVs will have RCA stereo out, this could be used if you got an RCA-to-minijack cable.
