Help with slow HDMI switching issue

I changed some settings and messed up what was working well. Now I can't figure out how to make everything work properly again. Thanks in advance for the help...

Equipment:
Sony ES-STR-AZ5000 PreAmp
Sony VPL-XW5000ES Projector
Apple TV
PS5

Apple TV switches between apps and content immediately (audio and display) with these HDMI settings:
4K upscaling - OFF
Control for HDMI - ON
Stand by linked to TV - ON
Standby through - AUTO
Audio return channel - eArc
Subwoofer level - AUTO
HDMI out b mode - MAIN
Fast view - AUTO
HDMI signal format submenu:
  • HDMI In 1 - ENHANCED FORMAT 4K 120
  • HDMI In 2-8 - ENHANCED FORMAT
Video output for PIP - OFF

But with the settings above, PS5 will not display.

PS5 will only display if I change HDMI In 1 - STANDARD

But then, when I go back to Apple TV, switching between apps and content is slow (audio is immediate but the display takes a few seconds). This problem exists on all streaming services, but more noticeable on YouTube as I switch between YouTube videos frequently, whereas I switch between Netflix/Hulu/Max videos less frequently.

When I look at all the display formats supported by the WX5000ES projector:

720 x 576/50p, 720 x 480/60p, 1280 x 720/50p, 1280 x 720/60p, 1920 x 1080/50i, 1920 x 1080/60i, 1920 x 1080/24p, 1920 x 1080/50p, 1920 x 1080/60p, 1920 x 1080/120p, 3840 x 2160/24p, 3840 x 2160/25p, 3840 x 2160/30p, 3840 x 2160/50p, 3840 x 2160/60p, 4096 x 2160/24p, 4096 x 2160/25p, 4096 x 2160/30p, 4096 x 2160/50p, 4096 x 2160/60p

The only 120 Hz format supported is at 1080p, not 2160p. So I'm assuming that's why you have to set HDMI 1 to standard.
