Help with replacement receiver

Hello,
I'm looking to get a replacement receiver that will match my speakers nicely. Currently I have Klipsch RF-62's for the FL and FR, and a RC-62 for the front center. The surrounds are currently just cheap Pioneer speakers that came with my Pioneer VSX-816 for free, to eventually be replaced with the matching surrounds. Anyways, I love this receiver but after only a year, the center channel died out, out of warranty of course. So instead of getting it repaired I've decided to just get a new receiver, preferably one with HDMI capabilities (2 is OK, 3 would be great.) My price limit is roughly $400, would prefer to spend closer to 300, although I don't think that's likely.
Reason I'm coming here is because after just going out and blindly buying the Pioneer receiver and having it die just out of warranty, I obviously don't want that to happen again. So basically I'm just looking for a great quality receiver that would match up nicely with these speakers. Any input is appreciated greatly.
Thanks,
RS

I could be wrong, but I don't think HDMI will be available at the $3-400 price point. I'm assuming you're talking about HDMI audio processing, right? Not just the video switching. If that's the case,it's just getting going on some of the higher-end models (a quick look at Denon's site indicates that their $2,500 model has it, and no others that I could tell). Sorry...

Ah, I should have clarified, I mean only HDMI video switching, I have no problem running optical cables as well. This receiver is just to hold me over maybe another year or two once HDMI has matured a bit.

Also check out the Yamaha RX-V661 for HDMI audio and plenty of power for your speakers for about $400. It also has pre-amp output incase you want to upgrade to an outboard amp.
