One of the woofers in my guitar cab is blown (ticking). There is a model number on the back, but these speakers are REALLY old (1967 Heil Sound cab, one of Bachman Tuner's touring cabs). My dad re-conned the speakers and they've been like that ever since.
This is all part of a Guitar restoration project my friend is helping me with. My Hiwatt Custom 50 tube amp keeps cooking one of my 2 EL37's. We installed a trim pot to adjust the bias back to -36V but it still happens. We found schematics for the amp and we're going to replace some resistors and capacitors that have been known to cause these problems. That last piece is the cab. I have a photo below of the woofer.
We've seemed to narrow it down to an Eminence speaker, or Altec Lansing.
