Help With Finishing Ceiling Speaker Install

Hello,

My wife and I recently purchased a home built in 2022. It came with two speakers installed in the ceiling. I got into the attic and photographed the wires terming to the speakers (black and red) and running down the wall. It looks like maybe the two speakers’ wires run down into the wall to the mounted control knob. Then there are the two 16/4 wires (red, black, green, and white)coming out of the wall where the TV or entertainment center is to be located. One is labeled “Daisy” and the other is labeled “Family v/c”. The two 16/4 wires are spliced together (green together, black together, red together, white together). I’m trying to figure out how I can finish terming those wires, appropriately, either directly to a TV or a soundbar so we can finally get to using these ceiling mounted speakers. Thank you for your comments!

You need an amplifier for the speakers. You can’t connect them to a TV or soundbar, as they do not have connections for that. The picture below shows speaker terminals on the back of an amplifier (the large red and black ones). You will note that no TV or soundbar has these.
