Help with DIYSG 1099's?

I have had the DIYSG 1099's for about 4 years. How long before the drivers go bad in these? I play them on the loud side especially for movies. If I bought some 1099 backup speakers and midranges and tweeters would they go bad eventually in the box? I am not sure if the new 10" woofer will even fit in my flatpack enclosure. What should I do? Build 2 new flatpacks? And would the crossover go bad as well that are in my 1099's now?

Take measurements periodically and see if you notice a decline? Might not be able to count on your ears...."on the loud side" for you is somewhat frightening, tho Thought you had already sold them, tho....or was that just the center? Maybe ask the speaker designer what he thinks, tho.

Just sold the center. I talked to DIYSG and they said they should last 15 years.
