Help with Denon AVR 3300

Hey guys

I've recently purchased an old Denon AVR 3300 and the following buttons don't work:

System setup
Surround parameter

When I say the buttons don't work I mean the ones on the remote control and in dying to configure my 4 mission 773e

I can see they are working fine because the red light on the remote flashes but no response from the amp

Is their a way to get these buttons to work and secondly, is their a way to do a hard reset on the amp?

You may want to try a hard reset and see if that clears the issue. Hold the AUTO button and PCM button, and plug the AC cord into the outlet. I take it you do not have the remote to see if it is just the buttons on the front. Do you have any kind of universal remote you could program?

I'm using the Denon RC864 REMOTE
I honestly don't know what the PCM Button is but if you could help explain to me that would be much appreciated

Found the auto button and pcm on the actual amp and everything reset...
But when I still press system setup on the remote nothing is coming up on the amp screen for me to configure.....

Usually pressing setup you should see a change in the display and you can choose from sources, speaker setup, etc.

I tried that but still nothing

All the other buttons on the remote work and when I press that one button the LED flashes but the amp doesn't respond.

Any other pieces of advice?
