Help with connecting AVR to TV

So I just got the LG C4 OLED and Denon 3800H and smart connection does not seem to be working. Used to have a LG hooked up to a Marantz 5014 and they all just said hello and worked, not this time sadly. The new LG AI user interface is was more complicated than it should be.

I know I have a 2 way connection because I can get the Denon menu on screen but can’t get sound even when selecting HDMI sound out.

yes I have a 48gb HDMI cable.

navigate to your TV settings, go to "Sound" > "Sound Out" and select "HDMI (ARC) Device," then ensure "eARC Support" is toggled on within the advanced sound settings; make sure to connect your audio device to the designated HDMI port labeled as "eARC" on the TV.

Make sure you have eARC enabled on your receiver.

Make sure you are connect to the HDMI OUT Monitor 1 port on the receiver. Simplink should turn ON automatically in the LG TV. If wanting device control, HDMI Control must also be turned ON in the receiver.

Did all that and it still didn’t work. Finally unplugged TV and receiver from power for 10 minutes, plugged back in and it all works now. Just need to get the magic remote to work with the Denon but I don’t see any menu features on the TV for that.
