Yes, I meant RBH T2P/R. You are right, I would not need the subs if I went this route. I would only need the subs if I went with Salk. Thanks.
I am not concerned about how loud they will get but rather how accurate and which would give me the best sound. Again, I have a rather large space.
Well, Gene has reviewed & measured the T2/P (before the Reference line came out). Gene also reviewed & measured the T30, which is a single cabinet version of the T2R.
Gene thinks they are among the best and can hang with any speaker in the world.
I can see why Gene (& the Audioholics staff) love them so much.
I almost bought a pair of the RBH T2/P, but the dealer would not give me the price I asked for, which was $4K.
When I auditioned the T2/P, the dealer probably got a little carried away with the bass. It was the most impressive bass I have ever heard at the time. Amazing tight bass. However, this may have adversely affected the midrange clarity a little. I'm being very critical here. Other than that, the T2/P was incredible!
Talking about this again is making me ponder the idea of getting a pair again from a buddy of mine who is a dealer.
If my friend can get me an awesome price, these T2R/P or T2/P may just be the upgrade for my family room. The fact that I don't need extra subwoofers since these will provide dual subwoofers is also nice for me.
I think Gene said there is a slight difference between the T & the T-Reference. If the price difference is also slight, I would get the Reference line.
Which has better sound quality?
I'm guessing the Salk has a slight advantage over the T2. I have not heard the T2/R. But Gene and the Audioholic staff, who have listened to both the Salk & RBH, will probably think the RBH has the advantage.
Only you can be the judge.
