I'm I've recently converted my garage into a bar and I've wired for 4 speakers in each corner of the room. I'm having two TV`s in there so I've wired HDMI, SCART, VGA and PHONO leads to each TV. All the cables go back to the same place where I'm going to have my DVD player etc. The problem I've got is, what would i need to play the audio from the TVs through the speakers with out having to messing about swapping the cables in the back of the DVD player etc for each TV all the time. Is there a unit of some sort in which i can just plug all the cables in and use a remote to select which TV i want to play through the speakers?

Thanks Dave

Virtually all televisions have analog audio outputs (red/white RCA jacks) that you can plug into your receiver and use the receiver's remote to select which one you want to listen to.

It depends on the complexity of your setup. How do you plan to get independent video to each display? Or do you plan to? If you are not sharing sources, then a simple A/V receiver (stereo) can handle the audio switching duties and speaker amplification easily for 4+ sources depending on the product you buy.

Thanks

Thanks for your replys,

Im planning on putting sky in there off of the rf2 port off my sky + box then boosting it to spit it for both TVs. Also i am putting a dvd or blue ray player in there and pc, xbox so i hopefuly would be able to use the remote to switch between them. Would this work with a a/v reciever?

Is denon the best make of a/v reciever as i have my eye on one which seems to do what i want.
THANKS

There is no "best" receiver.

There are, however, many very good receiver manufacturers that have receivers with the features you want and need. Denon is one of them.
