The only potential issue with a receiver is the LSiC as the LSI series is 4 ohms. If that is the only 4 ohm speaker in the set then you may get away with it.
A receiver is an all-in-one box with preamp, preprocessor, amplifier, and tuner and in general will offer far more processing and connectivity options at a much lower price than a separate preamp and amp. A separate amp however will be able to deal with low impedance speakers. If you need more stable amplification, a receiver with pre-outs connected to a separate amplifier is the best combination.
