We bought a house 2 years ago from an owner who spent a lot of time in his theater and really had a what I think of as nice setup. Couple of ceiling speakers, under tv soundbar, in wall subwoofer. I can feel the sound and know where it is coming from.
My children while watching bluey did the dance at the beginning ran into the subwoofer. Cracked the housing damaged the soft part and now it sounds really bad. I tried calling definitive technology and sourcing a replacement but they are no longer made. Is it worth buying 1 on the marketplace? Is there another in wall sub that would be better? The online sources all have smaller definitive technology subs than what is in the wall.
I like the rumble and a box in the room would not be possible with my SO. I looked at other ideas but the wall is concrete and the open ceiling doesn't provide what I think of as creative ideas (IB).
