Help selling Bose Lifestyle 50

I recently received a new in box Bose Lifestyle 50 Home System. All of the components are there including extra speakers, mounts etc. I was told the entire package sold for almost $7000. I have no need for the system and would like to trade it or sell it. Does anyone have an idea as the the value of this unit or how I might go about selling it.

I think you might want to do the eBay thing with that. You can run a search for completed listings and then ask an appropriate price or on here (AH) they have a classified section that you might want to read the stickies on and then follow the guide lines for selling stuff.

Or just put it on Craigs list. I have sold a lot of different stuff on there. People will buy Bose just because of the name. You should have little trouble dumping it.

I have tried CraigsList in my town and several surrounding larger towns with no success. Part of the problem may be that I have no idea what the system is worth. Is this an outdated model?

Web surfing can tell you a lot about things. Here's one source of info. The Lifestyle 50 model came out around 1999 and seems to have been phased out after 2002.

From what people are charging for individual pieces of the LS 50 system on eBay, I think that you'd be hard pressed to get over $1000 for it unless someone either really wants it or doesn't do their homework.

I am located in South Carolina. I have noticed people selling the pieces on Ebay as well. That may be what I have to do. In addition to the system I have extra speakers, mounts,wall brackets, extra remotes and extra 6 disk cd magazines, etc. None of this has been used and is still in the box.

7 grand! Holy hand grenades! I could assemble a great system for that price and it would do a lot more.

Like I said in an earlier post. I have no idea what this system is worth. That is why I am asking for help in determining this via this forum.

I have tried to list this unit in the classified section of this forum but am told I do not have enough posts to do so. I would like to get at least $1500 for the system complete with all of the extras I have mentioned. I would consider any other reasonable offers. Thanks

You're best off putting it on ebay with a reserve.

Offering stuff for sale anywere else except in the classified section where it's specifically allowed is in poor taste and is actually against the forum rules. There's a reason for a minimun number of posts needed to sell stuff.

Plus, not many of us have much respect for those Bose systems. You stand a better chance fo finding some other deluded fool who is enthralled by the name on Ebay.
