Hello guys, This is my first post, looking for any help or advice:
I'm upgrading my Home Theater system from a 7.1 channels to 9.2 channels, I actually have Yamaha 7.1ch 140 watts rms + mirage omd 5 fronts & omd C1 center + nanosat rear presence and lateral surround, JBL Northridge E250P 250 rms. I placed an order for an Yamaha RX A2020 9.2 channel, so I'm adding two nanosat for front presence and I'm deciding between this subs:
Klipsch Sub 12HG Synergy Series 12
Klipsch Reference RW-12d
BIC Acoustech PL-200B
HSU- STF-2
Polk Audio PSW 505

in that order, which one do you believe is the most recommended for me to add or replace the one I got
Thanks in advance

What's your room size? What's your seating arrangement?

Your choice of subwoofer will be determined by the volume of air contained within your room that you need to pressurize.

I can say this much right away though: forget the Polk sub and forget the Klipsch Synergy sub.

Out of the remaining three, the Klipsch Reference RW-12D can play the loudest. My personal preference would be for the HSU STF-2, which, IMO, has the best sound quality out of that small group. For its size and price, it only gives up the lowest below-25Hz frequencies and sheer output. If you have a smaller room size, it's a great choice.

The BIC PL-200 is comparable to the STF-2. Dr. Hsu had a hand in the PL-200's design, and it's very similar to some of the older HSU subs. Very much in line with the STF-2's output. Could do with a slightly more inert cabinet, IMO.

My father's system has a Rw-12d in a very large room. It's output is surprisingly high, but it would not be my first choice of subwoofers. Not quite tight enough for music and not quite there enough for movie. He got it very inexpensively and I believe it was a good value, but not a terribly good sub.

So, if I change my JBL for the BIC PL200 will be a good upgrade or I won't notice the difference? or better two subs?, my room size is 20 x 14 feet and the ceiling is 12 feet from the floor...
thanks again!!!
