I have a new Pioneer elite VSX-82 amp and I have a problem with the sound: when i listen to HD TV or HD DVD, the sound cuts a fraction of a second every few minutes, and seems completly random. I have a new Playstation 3, and i watch TV on Bell expresswiew (satellite) with Motorolla HD Recorder player #2942. I have tried changing HDMI wires, and putting component plus digital optic but still it cuts sometimes. The image is ok, just the sound that cuts. I have checked all speaker connections a few times, :eek:k.... I can't figure out if this comes from the amp or the source, but doesn't seem to come from wires, ...but before i change the amp...(ordered on internet...) i would like your ideas...

Thanks, DAN

i get that with the motorola hd box from comcast, if the inbound feed drops below 28db, not with any other equipment though.

Yes that is when it is outputing the LFE signal. Your sub should be active during the blinking.
