This is all new to me and I don't know where to start. We have just bought our first house and I am trying to setup a reasonably prices surround sound system in our living room. It is an awkward shape, so the LG 42 inch TV is mounted to a bracket that comes out from the wall and turns towards the couch. I currently own a Yamaha RX-V663 receiver. I am looking for a passive sound bar to be the L/C/R and two in-ceiling speakers. I may also need a subwoofer. My plan is to mount the sound bar to the bottom of the TV so it will also be pointed at the couch when in use. Also connected to the receiver is a Blue-ray player, cable box, apple tv and iPod dock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I had a similar setup in my old houses living room, I mounted a center channel speaker on its own cantilever tv mount so it could be pulled out and pointed the same way as the tv...
KEF and Boston acoustic make some sound bars, I have a Kef in the bedroom with 2 hts5001.2, and a cheap sub, I paid $600 for the bar and 2 wall hangers, they sound really good for movies, but not good at all for music...

For a sub I just bought an HSU, it sounds awesome, and they are not much money...
