Unless I missed it, it doesn't really say "RMS" or "Continuous Power" in the power output.

I see that the Behringer EP4000 is 1750W RMS 8 ohms @ 1% THD Bridged Mode.
the 4000 is a rebranded 2500 according to many folks in the DIY community. That linke Yamaha is quite capable of 2000 watts. But the Behringer is much cheapers.

What is the rated sensitivity?
Craig I really dont know for sure, I will have to check in my manual. Seems like they are in the 80's, 86 maybe?

I'm sure I am mixed up on the application of tech. specs. Still how do you determine from manufactor specs the min. and max. power where the speaker produces the best reproduction of the original sound ? Plus I hear the term Headroom, what exactly does that mean?

I'm with everyone on the room importance. I dont intent to stay in my current location long. I would like to remove the room from the equation. I'm looking for the most accurate sound and quality I can afford. then my next move I will work the enviroment to suit the equipment. That way I,m always working with good equipment moving from place to place.

So, right there, it points to a room acoustics issue, not a lack of power. Same gear, different room, better sound.
I think you nailed it!! I don't think its the speakers or the receiver but I do think its the room acoustics. If its ounds great in one room with all the dynmaics being present and just fair in another room with the same equipemnt, the only variable that changed was room/acoutics.

To the OP

If you have flexability in placement, experiment with this a little. Not just speaker placement but seating placement as well. How long is this temporary placement going to last? You should also consider room treatments as well.

3db I wish I had better options for placement but for now adjustments to speakers angles ,hight ect is about all I can do. The thing is even in the prior room the sound has never been where I would like it to be with music. Oh ,also I was using a HK reciever then too. I plan on staying a max. of another six months, then I'll be gone. Since I am back single ,I will make a A/V room a priorty in choosing my next place.
I do appeciate everyone input thanks
