I find this thread interesting... I'm looking for "efficient" speakers because I'll be using my power amps for the shop system now that I've got a new place. The new HT will only be driven by the 120w RX-V1500.

There's something to be said for speakers with +4 or +5 dB sensitivity vs. the majority of the other alternatives. Keep in mind I'm coming from speakers with 100 dB sensitivity that I LOVE. I happen to like the horn tweeters, and when combined with a record I can hear a lot of stuff in the meaty section of the mid range that I never heard before. They do show you all the flaws in a bad recording, but they also show all the briliance of a good recording.

I'm looking hard for a ~$1000-1500 set of 5 bookshelf SIZED speakers with high sensitivity and horn tweeters, and it seems like Klipsch is one of the only manufacturers that offers something like this.

Adwilk, can you suggest a particular Klipsch bookshelf that handles 150w+, has at least a 6" woofer (or 2), and would cost $1500 for 5???
