Oh great. I thought I came here because there was no child play like "im better than you", "i know more than you", "you are a looser". Gain some maturity or get the hell outta here. Maybe it wasn't the best post ever but obviously you came out worst than him.

When you have nothing good to say...

That's one I haven't ran across in a fortune cookie as of yet so I'm thinking Confucius never actually said that.;)

I would say it is a better choice and I don't have any experience with low end Sony receivers. But I do have experience with the 605.

I hardly want to change the subject but it is amazing to me the amount of flack people are giving a $350-$400 receiver like the 605.

Come on, at that price range what do you expect? That somehow they offered a unit with near perfect video and audio processing comparable with 700-$800 units?

You get what you pay for, and even at $350 you get a lot for you money.

Yeah but then, spend some of this 400$ on a Yamaha... you'll be impressed. This is like the Hyundai Accent plague. Everyone wanted one cuz it was cheap and it worked well out of the lot. But then it turned out to be a crappy car. Some are still thinking this car is great. Same thing with this year's Onkyo. But it's actually a garbage can with connections in the back.
