Okay, I don't consider myself an "expert" in speaker setup, but I know the basics. My current setup is as follows: Creative Audigy soundcard w/SPDIF output. Currently I have a digital RCA cable with a RCA-miniplug adapter connecting the SPDIF output on my computer soundcard to the coax input on the back of my receiver. I am not letting the software handle the ac3 decoding, so therefore the receiver takes care of that when I play DVD's on my computer. Everything works fine! Now, when I want to play a game (for example Doom3) with the surround speakers option turned ON, I get only front channel sound in addition to the sub. What if anything am I doing wrong? Is it a software or a hardware issue?
